Photo Checklist

Indoors
When You Arrive
  ISO Setting 400 or 800 set too high will cause graininess
  White Balance Tungsten could be flourescent or auto depending on lighting
  Camera Mode Shutter Priority or Manual TV or M on a Canon Camera
  Shutter Speed 1/250 or 1/200 different cameras have different shutter speeds
  Previous Pictures Erased  
  Focus Manual or Auto Focus whichever works best for you, also depending on your camera
  Take test photos    
Problems and Fixes
  Too Dark Set the ISO speed higher or adjust the shutter speed. Do not go below 1/100 of a second. If still too dark, get camera with higher ISO settings.
  Blurry Image, not Motion Blur Make sure you're focusing correctly or change to manual focus
  Shot Taken too Late Half depress the shutter button if on auto focus. If on manual, try to take the photo right before the action occurs.
Outdoors
When You Arrive
  ISO Setting 100 set to 200 or 400 if cloudy or nearing dusk
  White Balance Auto can be on sunny or cloudy as well
  Camera Mode Shutter Priority or Manual TV or M on a Canon camera
  Shutter Speed 1/640 or 1/1000 1/640 for football, soccer, and softball; 1/1000 for baseball
  Previous Pictures Erased  
  Focus Auto focus if focus problems, set on manual at infinity
  Take test photos    
Problems and Fixes
  Too Bright Lower ISO speed or raise shutter speed
  Shot Taken too Late Half depress the button if on auto focus. If on manual, try to take the photo right before the action occurs.
